J. Wayne Lancaster

J. Wayne Lancaster, 82, of Powhatan, born in Rocky Mount, N.C. to the late Joseph and Edna Lancaster, went to be with the Lord, February 22, 2018. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years Connie; children, Diana Lancaster of Kaufman, Texas, Joe Lancaster (Davina), Annette Arrington (Linwood) both of Powhatan and Debbie Payne (Roy) of Goochland; 8 grandchildren, Ellie, Layne, Cory, Ross, Obie, Daniel, Jessie, Chris; 10 great-grandchildren, Zadie, McKayla, Mitchell, Glenn, Chase, Mason, Jordan, Madison, Caylen and Colton; brother, Donnie Lancaster (Pat) of Powhatan; sister, JoAnn Arnette of Ashland. Wayne was an accomplished stone and brick mason for 53 years. His other love in life were his horses. The family will be receive friends Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Powhatan Mennonite Church, 3540 Old Buckingham Rd., Powhatan, and where a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday. Graveside services will be held Monday 10 a.m. in the Powhatan Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Powhatan Mennonite Church Youth Fund.
