Agnes Humphrey Conner

Agnes Humphrey Conner, 87, of Cartersville, went to be with her Lord, January 6, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joseph C. Conner; four children and their spouses, Kathie Mendez (Arthur), Jerry Conner (Gina), Rebecca Carlisle (Steve), Stephen Conner (Teresa); brother John Humphrey; sister Carleen Campbell; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth and Michael Conner. Agnes was a founding member of Cumberland Baptist Temple, a passionate gardener, an excellent cook, and an avid seamstress. She read her bible daily and shared her faith with everyone she met. Some of her last words were "God poured a bucket of funny on me" and it showed in her smile! The family will receive friends Thursday (tonight) from 6 to 8pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan and where services will be held 11am Friday.
