Alice Beryl Nicholls Dillard Dunaway

Alice Beryl Nicholls Dillard Dunaway, born in Powhatan on April 5, 1922, passed away March 10, 2015. She was a long time resident of Powhatan with many relatives and friends remaining there. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Blair & Annie Melissa Sayles Nicholls; brother, Blair Nicholls; son, James W. Dillard, Jr. She leaves behind her children, Lura Ann Dillard, Robert Archie Dillard(Sandra); nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She loved God, did his work whenever possible, helping her community members who were in need. She lived at Ginter Hall South the last six years where she made many friends and was well cared for by everyone there. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan, and where services will be held Saturday 11am. Interment Rocky Oak Church Cemetery, Powhatan. In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to Central Va. Food Bank, 1415 Rhoadmiller St. Richmond, Va. 23220.
