Ann Walker Shelton

Ann Walker Shelton, of Powhatan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim and three sons: Elliott of Richmond; Tom and his wife Renee of Glen Burnie, Maryland; and David, his wife Sarah and their three children: Loyd, Lilly and Allison, of Spotsylvania. Ann was a dedicated volunteer. Her long history of service includes the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) and the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation (HOBY). Ann was a founding member of the Woman's Club of Powhatan County and served Lee District as President 1980-1982. She remained active at club, district and State Federation levels. Her service to HOBY spanned more than 20 years. She was instrumental in establishing the HOBY Virginia Leadership Seminar and served as President of the HOBY Virginia Corporate Board of Directors.
