Bertha Marie Gills Kantzler

Bertha Marie Gills, 84 of Amelia died September 7, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband W. Parker Kantzler; four siblings Allen, Bubba, David and Pattie. She is survived by her three children William P. Kantzler Jr. (Janet) of Powhatan, Christopher M. Kantzler (Edita) of Amelia, Paula K. Sexton (William) of Midlothian; six sisters Ruth, Nancy, Virginia, Dorothy,Helen, Charlotte; two brothers Jimmie, Tommy; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday (tonight) from 6pm - 8pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home 3215 Anderson Hwy (RT 60) Powhatan. A graveside service will be held Thursday 11am in Pine Grove Cemetery Amelia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mattoax Fire Department.
