Betty Joyce Derry Hounshell

Betty D. Hounshell, 79, of Powhatan, passed away October 3, 2014. She is survived by daughters, Susie Worsham (John Kevin), Sheila Payne (David), Sharon Smith (Preston), Sherri Blevins (Fairley), Connie Hounshell, all of Powhatan; sisters, Bobbie Hounshell of Maryland, Stella Hensley of Lee; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a devoted friend, Susan Lawson. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Monday 2 pm in the Powhatan Community Church, 4480 Anderson Hwy., Powhatan. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery.
