Diane Samuels Whitlock

59, of Powhatan, was called home to be with the Lord September 18, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Ray "Dee" Whitlock; two children, Amanda W. Simmons, Timothy S. Whitlock and his fiancee Brittany Moore all of Powhatan; two brothers, Ron Samuels of Amelia, Garland "Shorty" Samuels of Cumberland; mother in law, Evelyn Whitlock of Chesterfield; one grandson; cousins, Anita Kreider, Trudy McCoy; close family and friends; her beloved pets, her girls and the sensational 6. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon to 2pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan, followed with a funeral service at 2pm. Interment Graceland Baptist Church Cemetery, Powhatan. Memorial contributions may be made to Powhatan Animal Shelter.
