Eugene Albert St Ours

St Ours, Eugene Albert "Gene", US Army, MSG, Ret., 68, of Powhatan, VA, passed away peacefully at home on Thurs. August 13, 2020 after his courageous battle against cancer. Gene was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife; Pam, his children; Jason St. Ours (Robyn), Jennifer St. Ours, their mother Bettie Moore, his step-daughters; Stacie Hylton (Junior), Sarah Peddle (Eric), his grandchildren; Guy St. Ours, Dominique Ours, Samantha Aylor, Jordan Hawkins, Jacob Hawkins, and Lily St. Ours and his great grandchildren. He was a retired US Army veteran who served his country for 20 years. He was an expert forklift service technician for Eaheart Industrial Services. He was a Jack of All trades and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and loved to travel with Pam. He was always ready to grab his suitcase and passport to look for adventure in new places. Gene loved all animals and left behind his beloved Jack Russell, Penny and "Fred", a stray cat he spoiled with Fancy Feast on the front porch, and a warm bed in his garage. A celebration of life will be held on August 17, 2020 at 2 pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home for his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Powhatan Animal Shelter through the Claws & Paws Medical Care medical fund.
