James D. "Jim" Gregg

James D. "Jim" Gregg, 72, of Powhatan, he ended his pain and went to be with the Lord December 2, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Carol T. Gregg; sons, Donnie Gregg (Libby), Scott Gregg (Ami); father, Harold C. Gregg; brothers, Mike Gregg (Gwen), Bill Gregg (Claudia); grandchildren, Trey and Kailee; aunt, Margarett Gregg; devoted dog, Pete. Jim graduated in 1967 from MCV School of Pharmacy. He fulfilled his dream and founded Powhatan Pharmacy in 1975 and Plaza Pharmacy in 1997, which are still in operation today. He enjoyed fishing with his family and friends, but the greatest joy of his life was spending time with his grandkids and watching them play sports. He was a member of May Memorial Baptist Church for 40 years. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 4 pm, in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held 3 pm Sunday in the May Memorial Baptist Church, 3922 Old Buckingham Rd., Powhatan. Interment at Powhatan Community Cemetery.
