James Edward Simpson Sr.

James E. Simpson, Sr., 93, of Powhatan, widower of Edith W. Simpson, passed away July 25, 2017. He is survived by his son, James Simpson, Jr. (Kathy Wilde) of Pennsylvania; brother, Lloyd Simpson of Florida and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Friday 11 a.m. at May Memorial Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment Red Lane Baptist Church Cemetery, Powhatan. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to May Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.Box 56 Powhatan, Va. 23139.
