Joyce Darlene Castelvecchi

Joyce Darlene Castelvecchi, 70, of Powhatan, passed away in the morning hours of December 9, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Rovilla Williams, Brother Benny Williams, premature twin daughters and granddaughter Heather Renee Moorefield. She is survived by her husband, Frank P. Castelvecchi, Sr., children, Frank Castelvecchi Jr. (Dana), Henry Castelvecchi (Dee), and Melanie Trotman (Trot), 8 grandchildren, Brothers Orville Williams (Jackie), Jimmy Williams (Althea) and Bobby Williams (Barbara). Her life was devoted to her family and helping others in need. She was a self-employed housekeeper, bus driver, and caretaker for many elderly adults. She was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a sporting event in which her children participated. We have lost a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. On this day, no longer bound to this earth by the disease which has robbed her of so much, she was welcomed into Heaven, with much rejoicing.The family will receive friends at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, in Powhatan on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Bon Air Baptist Church on Friday, December 12 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at 2pm in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia
