Karen Elizabeth Martin

Karen Elizabeth Martin went to be with Jesus on December 9, 2020 at age 49. She was born in Petersburg, Virginia. She is preceded by her mother, Marie Gauldin. Karen is survived by her husband, Robert Martin, her children, Abigail and Matthew Martin, her siblings, Kathy Fite and Eric Warner, her Aunt Gloria and Uncle Pete Doughty, and many nieces and nephews. Karen was a loving wife, a sweet and encouraging mother, a faithful daughter, and a loyal friend. With her kind heart and quick wit, she would warm a room and could make anyone laugh and smile. She made friends wherever she was. She loved planting flowers, feeding the hummingbirds, watching it snow, and playing with her pets. She liked adventures, so long as there was a path, white water rafting, and reading. A friend of everyone, a listening ear, a wise counselor, and the best example of how to love one another. She was our best friend and will be forever missed. Karen’s memorial will be held at Passion Community Church located at 4480 Anderson Highway, Powhatan, VA 23139. There will be a visitation on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 10:00am, followed by a service at 11:00am.
