Marion B. Anderson

Marion B. Anderson, 90, of Cartersville, passed away October 8, 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Linda J. George (husband William) of Cartersville; son, Jessie D. Childress, Jr (wife Barbara) of Glen Allen; step daughters, Carol Specht, Betty Leavitt; grandchildren, Jessie D. Childress, III, Beverly A. Wright, Dennis G. Wright, Jr.; great grandson, Derik E. Wright (wife Lettie); seven great great grandchildren; several close nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence D. Anderson; one son, James W. Childress and six brothers and sisters. Mrs. Anderson was known for her crochet scrubers and became known as "The Scrubby Lady". A memorial service will be held October 25th at 1pm in the Thomas Chapel United Methodist Church, 1313 Cartersville Rd. Cartersville, Va. 23027.
