Sandy Ann Hunt

HUNT, Sandy Ann, 62, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord December 29, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Howard R. Hunt, Jr.; daughters Trisha McNair (Jimmy), Jamie Dunford (Jerry), all of Powhatan; brothers, Emery Chase, Jr.(Eleanora) of Dumfries, Bruce Chase (Debbie) of Radford; sisters, Suzanne Brown (Billy) of Meherrin, Carolyn Peifer of Chesterfield, Debbie Norris of Meherrin; grandchildren, Sydney McNair, Jerry Dunford, III, Tyler Dunford. She was preceded in death by son, Howard R. Hunt, III; sister, Sally White. Sandy was a devoted, loving wife of 44 years, who always put her family first. She adored her daughters and grandchildren with all her heart. Her greatest joy was being called "NaNa" by her grandchildren. Sandy was a CSR for Central Virginia Bank for 15 years. She loved working with people and helping customers and working with her best friend, Vickie Landing. Sandy was a strong woman who fought a courageous battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten and as she always said everyday we will, "Love you forever and always". The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan, where services will also be held Thursday 11 am.
