Vernon M. Poe

Vernon M. Poe, 67, of Powhatan went to be with the Lord September 29, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Inez L. Poe; son, Glenn E. Poe of Powhatan; step-sons, David W. Butler, Darryl G. Butler, both of Powhatan; brothers, Allen C. Poe of Roanoke, John T. Poe, Calvin C. Poe, both of Radford; sisters, Katherine Nunn of North Carolina, Glenna Poe of Radford, Mary Lee Cox of Pulaski; grandchildren, Christopher, Amber, Adam, Alex, Austin, Nathan; two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11 am in the Bethesda Church of God. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery.
