Walter Adsmond Ellinghausen

Walter A. Ellinghausen, Captain, US Navy Ret., 88, of Powhatan, departed this life, January 5, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pat Ellinghausen; four children, Pam Greenholt (Chandy) of N.C., David Ellinghausen (Martha) of Powhatan, Becky Latuche (Lenny) of Powhatan, Heidi McGowan (Tom) of Williamsburg; two brothers, Harold and Edgar Ellinghausen both of Illinois; eight grandchildren, Kristen Douthit (Jon), Jen Greenholt, Elizabeth Owens (Jeff), Emily Ellinghausen, William Ellinghausen (Meghan), Daniel Ellinghausen, Sarah Ellinghausen, Matthew Latuche; eight great grandchildren, Samuel, Lydia, Elijah, Jonathan, Ivy, Caleb, Ruthlyn and Joel. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Powhatan Community Cemetery.
