Albert J. Schnurr, also known as Butch, passed away on June 3. He was 79 years old. He was born on September 25, 1946 in Rockville Centre, and grew up in Centerport. He played football at Harborfields High School ( Class of 64) and served in the US Marine Corps from 1967-69. He and his wife Jean (Meyer) lived in Huntington for 40 years. They retired to North Carolina in 2013. He is also survived by daughters, Casey (John), Courtney (Charley), and Cammie (Tony); and seven grandchildren: Dylan, Chloe, Kayden, Charley, Avery, Remy, and Jack.
