Arthur Fair "Buddy B" Brogdon, Jr., a devoted husband, proud veteran, and beloved member of his community, passed away on October 28, 2025. Buddy honorably served his country in the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, he dedicated more than 40 years to his career as a lineman, known for his hard work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.Deeply involved in his community, Buddy volunteered with the Burkeville Fire Department, where his dedication and bravery were recognized when he was named Fireman of the Year in 1990. 

Buddy found joy in the simple things-his love of dogs, fishing trips, and watching NASCAR. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and took great pride in maintaining his yard and gardens. Above all, Buddy cherished his wife, Patricia Ann Brogdon, with a deep and lasting love that was evident to all who knew them. 

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Fair Brogdon, Sr. of Metter, Georgia, and Essie Mae Wiggins Brogdon Cochran of Statesboro, Georgia; siblings: Leila Brogdon Parker Odom of Metter, Georgia, Margaret Brogdon Lanier Stanfield of Claxton, Georgia, and Half Brother - Libron Brogdon of Swainsboro, Georgia; his son, Kenneth Matthew Brogdon; and granddaughter, Melissa Ann Tenney. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Patricia Ann Brogdon; two daughters, Hope Brogdon and Jacqueline Lowe (Eddie); and his nephew, who was more like a son, Stephen Wilkerson. Grandchildren: Tiffany Lunsford (Chris), Jasmine Quick (Jay), Kimberly Robinson (Traon), Glen Pettis Jr, Tabitha Goode (Jordan), and Levi Pettis. Great-grandchildren: Victoria, Faith, Traon Jr., Jaidyn, Kamori, Nora, Noah, June, Grayson, Naomi, and Amos and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Mary Ann Brogdon Morris, Larry Brogdon (Patsy), and Ricky Brogdon, all of Statesboro, Georgia; Deborah Brogdon Sammons of Adrian, Georgia; Ronnie Brogdon (Ruthie) and Phillip Brogdon (Susan), both of Hampton, South Carolina; and Half Sister- Sara Ann Brogdon Meeks of Brunswick, Georgia.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Highway, Powhatan, VA 23139. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, followed by burial with Military Honors at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 22482 Prince Edward Hwy, Rice, VA 23966.

Buddy will be remembered for his service, compassion, and unwavering love for his family and community.
