Barbara Jean Jacobs, 91, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born in Buckingham County to Joseph Riley Guill and Esther Lee Bryant Guill.

 “Bobbie Jean” was born and raised on the family farm in Buckingham, Virginia, near Toga, the youngest of her family. She graduated from Buckingham County High School and moved to Richmond, Virginia where she married and spent the remainder of her life. She was employed by Luxout Products for 50 years, where she was an Office Manager. She was extremely devoted to her family and most particularly, her grandchildren. She was a member of Bon Air Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her six children, Billy George, Michael George (Patricia Anne), Barry George, Wendy George Smith, Ricky George (Lisa), and Cheri George (Bob Saxtan); six grandchildren, Amanda George, Kristina Ferguson (Spencer), James H. Smith, Jr., David Strawn, Daniel Strawn and Leah Strawn, and three great-grandchildren. 

Services will be held Monday, May 18th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, in Powhatan, with graveside internment following.
