Brenda Ann Hook

Brenda Ann Hook, 85, of Powhatan, VA, passed away peacefully at home on September 16, 2025. She grew up in South Park Township, outside of Pittsburgh, PA, and was the beloved daughter of the late John G. and Alberta “Polly” Zelena.

Brenda is survived by Wallace Worsham, her long-time partner of 25 years; her children, Veronica “Roni” Pierce (Eric), and Christopher Hook (Heidi); her cherished grandson, Charlie Boykin; Wallace’s children, Curtis Lee Worsham, Cynthia Worsham, and granddaughter, Ryder; her sisters, Joyce George (David), and Deborah Young (Bill); and many nieces and nephews and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John E. Zelena; sister-in-law, Patti Zelena; and niece, Susan Devey.

Brenda found her greatest joy watching the wildlife on the land where she lived. She also loved and adored her dog, Georgia, who showed up one day seeking shelter and found a home full of love and treats. According to Brenda’s wishes there will be no fanfare. The family will gather privately. Rest in peace, Mom.
