Carla Moyer Irwin

Carla Moyer Irwin, 56, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 1, 2024. She is survived by her husband, John C. Irwin; sons, Gabriel and Isaiah Irwin; parents, Milton and Barbara Moyer; sister, Mindy Ellison (Toby); brother, Brian Moyer (Denise); and numerous other family and friends. Carla loved planting seeds in her garden and landscapes around the house, cultivating them into full grown plants. She enjoyed loving on her family. Carla found her passion being a guidance counselor and mentor for the kids at Banner Christian School. The family will receive friends 11am to 1pm Thursday February 8, 2024, at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson HWY. Powhatan. Interment will be private. A memorial service will be held 10:30 am Saturday February 10, 2024, at Salem Baptist Church, Goochland.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Banner Christian School.
