Chance Tevin Burrell

December 23, 1997 — September 13, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chance Tevin Burrell, who left this world on September 13, 2025, at the age of 27. Born on December 23, 1997, in Richmond, VA, Chance was the beloved son of Kristie and Charlie Crouch and Ronnie and Kimberly Burrell. He grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit family, which played a significant role in shaping the compassionate and kind-hearted individual he became.

Enthusiastic and spirited, Chance embraced life with a sense of adventure and a passion for hunting and fishing, activities that brought him closer to nature and provided him with cherished memories. He graduated from Cumberland High School in 2015, where he forged friendships that would last a lifetime.

In addition to his parents, Chance is survived by his loving sister, Sidda Burrell, who was not only his sibling but also his confidante and friend. He also leaves behind his cherished grandparents, Michael and Sherry Holladay, Kevin and Fran Crouch; aunts and uncles, including Michele Saunders, Jennifer and Mike Burrell, Paul and Tara Moore, Daniel Moore, Adam Moore; and a host of cousins, Andrew Myatt, Lauren Burrell, Matthew Saunders, Conner Saunders, Landon Saunders, Peyton Burrell, Lydia Burrell, Collin Wood, Sterling Moore and Hudson Moore. Each one of them held a special place in Chance's heart, and he was equally important to them.

Chance will be deeply missed not only by his family, but by the many friends he made along the way. Every person who crossed his path was touched by his genuine kindness and the light he carried in his heart.

His untimely passing leaves a void that can not be filled, but his memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held 12 PM (NOON) Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Powhatan War Memorial and Cultural Arts and Community Center at 2375 Skaggs Rd.
