Charles Robert Wiley

Charles Robert Wiley, age 75, of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away on July 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 27, 1950, in Richmond, Virginia, Charles was known throughout his life for his generous spirit, devotion to others, and deep love for his family. He spent many years coaching PYAA football and baseball, where he positively impacted countless young lives—not only as a coach, but as a mentor and role model.

Charles will be remembered as a loyal friend who was always ready to lend a helping hand, and as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose presence meant everything to those who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Wiley; his son, Robert Wiley; his daughter-in-law, Carolyn Wiley; and his cherished granddaughters, Hailey Wiley, Jena Wiley, and Alana Wiley. He also leaves behind his dear aunt, Shirley Duty, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Visitation will be held to celebrate Charles’s life Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family, through the link provided on our website.
