The Lord brought his daughter Charlotte Waldrop Jessup home on March 7, 2026.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her son, Jeff Jessup; he parents, Robert and Hazel Waldrop; and her oldest sister, Nancy Tomlinson.

Charlotte is survived by her Husband of 64 years, Artie Jessup: son, Ronnie Jessup; grandsons, Damian Jessup (Robert), Cody Jessup, Alex Jessup, Brandon Jessup (Casey); great-grandchildren, Chevelle and Oliver; and goddaughter, Renee Mays.She is also survived by her sisters, Shelby Adams (Ted) and Mary Kaye Walker (Danny).

Charlotte retired from Civil Service where she worked for 36 years. She was recognized for her years of service and dedication. She started working as a keypunch operator for the 48th Fighter Squadron and was later promoted to various positions with the US Air Force. She also earned Employee of the Year. Charlotte Loved and served her Lord. Charlotte enjoyed quilting and attending quilting conventions. She loved her family and friends and would do anything for them.

A memorial service will be held at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Following the service will be a private burial service at the Powhatan Community Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please donate to your church in her memory.

Matthew 5:4 says "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
