Obituary

Craig A. McKenzie passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 26, 2026.

Born February 10, 1961 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late A. Donald and Virginia McKenzie. He grew up near the water and was happiest near any river, ocean or lake. He was a graduate of Lewiston-Porter High Class of 1979. He obtained an Associates Degree of Applied Science, Service Technology, NCCC, 1986.

Craig relocated to the Richmond, VA area in 1987 and was employed as a petroleum truck driver for 36 years for various companies. He retired from Kenan Advantage Group in 2025.

He was most passionate about cars but particularly Oldsmobiles. He was in the process of restoring his 1969 Cutlass.

Craig leaves to mourn the love of his life and Wife of 37 years, Diane (Hahn) McKenzie; Children, Mallory (Greg) Kellam and Kyle (Kim) McKenzie; as well as his beloved Grandchildren, Hadley, Wyatt and Brody Kellam, and Harlow McKenzie.

He is also survived by a sister, Mary (Brian) Dumont, and several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Rob Roy McKenzie; niece, Amber; and his Best Friend, Rob Schmidt.

Abiding by Craig's wishes, there will be no prior visitation or service. Memorial donations may be made to Lustgarten Foundation and Pancreatic Cancer or American Cancer Society.
