Darrell Whitney Grim

Darrell Whitney Grim, 66, of Powhatan, passed away August 19, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Grim, Katherine Grim and one surviving brother Keith Grim. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice and one son Corey. He retired after 36 years with The Department of State Police. He loved his family deeply and shared a special bond with his German Shepherds, who were always by his side. He was deeply loved and had many friends from all walks of life. Whether he knew you for years or just met you, no one was a stranger. He was a man of faith who trusted in God throughout his life. Viewing at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home in Powhatan on August 24th from 2 to 4 pm. Graveside Services will be at Powhatan Community Cemetery on August 25th at 11:00 am.
