David L Barden, Jr., 88 of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away June 22, 2026. David was born on February 6, 1938 in Tabaccoville, Va. He was a quiet, kind and loving man. David was a genuine person who liked to have fun. He was often quick with a "One Liner".

He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie, of 65 years; children, Susan Barden, Kathy Barden, Daphne Barden Llewellyn (Ron), Jay Barden (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kendall, Reese, Connor, Carter; great granddaughter, Skylar; siblings, Nancy Davis; sister in law, Nancy Lewis Barden and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Amelia Veterans Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at bennettbardenfh.com
