David Gerald Henley

David Gerald Henley better known as "Jerry" passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was born on February 4, 1938 in Pulaski, Virginia. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Henley. He is survived by his daughters, Selena Turley and Eva Roach; his grandsons, Alex, Adam, Aaron and Andrew Turley; granddaughters, Kayla Long and Tara Roach; his longtime girlfriend, Shirley Gough; and his brother Ronnie Henley. He has 19 great grandchildren. Jerry served in the army as a paratrooper. He loved his time jumping out of planes. After leaving the service, he worked as a truck driver. He retired from Honeywell after 32 years of driving. In his leisure time, he loved riding his Harley motorcycles.

Funeral services will be held at Bennett and Barden funeral home on February 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM and a graveside service will follow at Graceland Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, February 4, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Jerry's grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
