Diane Murdock Bennett, 79, of North Chesterfield, Virginia, died on July 20, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
Diane was the daughter of the late Woodson and Zilla Murdock, and was born in Richmond on June 24, 1943. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Carl W. Murdock, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Frank Bennett, of North Chesterfield; her children: Lauren Hostetler of North Chesterfield, Andrew Hostetler and his wife Donna of Mechanicsville, Leah Hostetler and Joshua Hostetler, both of Richmond; grandchildren: Cody Smith, Cassie Fryman, Courtney Hostetler, Joel Shaw, Alyson Hostetler, and Alexea Smith; two sisters, Nancy Murdock of Ashland and Betsy Murdock of Virginia Beach; stepsons Stan, Mike and Rob Smith, and many adored nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends .
Diane was a talented artist and writer, who lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many adventures during the twenty-two years that she lived with cancer.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 2-5 PM at the Bennett Residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Art for the Journey, or to the Tommie Fund at Richmond Animal Care and Control.
