Donald Spencer Jimerson, Sr.

Donald Spencer Jimerson Sr., age 77, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2026. He was born in Richmond, VA on August 30, 1948. Donald was preceded in death by his father, William Cleveland Jimerson Sr.; his mother, Emma White Jimerson Carnell; his brothers, William Jimerson Jr. and Fletcher Jimerson; his sister, Connie Moore; and his cousin, Richard Hagen.

He is survived by his children: daughter Michelle Farris; daughter Sandy Jimerson Sharp and son-in-law Willis Sharp; son Donald Jimerson Jr. and his wife, Crystal; and stepdaughter Sharon Glidewell Simmons. He was a proud grandfather to Donald Jimerson III, Abigail Sharp, DJ Barlow, and Kayla Heath.He is further survived by his brother, Terry Wayne Jimerson and his wife, Marjorie, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members who will cherish his memory.He will be remembered for his love of local short track racing, NASCAR, salt water fishing, story telling and his ability to make others laugh. His legacy lives on through those who loved him and were blessed to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 11am. The location will be Fairmount Christian Church at 6502 Creighton Rd in Mechanicsville. All are encouraged to attend and to bring your favorite stories of Donnie to share with others. Wear your favorite Friday night Southside Speedway attire of t-shirt and jeans if you prefer. Plenty of paved parking available as well so drive those hot rods!
