Edward Earl "Pete" Padgett, II

Edward Earl "Pete" Padgett, II, 68 of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away suddenly on October 21, 2025. He is survived by his siblings, Rendie Stroupe, Donnie Padgett and Elden Padgett; nieces and nephews, Sarah Kantner, Josh Hughes, Kasie DeLap, Marissa Padgett, Cheyanne Padgett and Alanna Holy; many great nieces and nephews.

Yesterday afternoon, the World lost a great man. "Pete" was one of the most generous, kind, silly and sharp souls we have ever known. Pete's loss leaves behind so many broken hearts. He was always there for anyone, no matter what they needed and stepped up in so many ways that he never had or expected to. No one was ever going to be without if he had any knowledge of a hardship being faced. Please tell everyone who means anything to you, how you feel. We truly never know when our last interaction with someone is going to be.

"Pete", you are Loved, your presence in so many lives will be greatly missed. Thank You for all the memories!

The family will receive friends Monday October 27, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, Powhatan. Where a service will be held Tuesday, October28 2025, at 1:00 pm. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at bennettbardenfh.com
