Elva Lawson Worsham, 87, of Powhatan, widow of Willis B. Worsham, died January 5, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Chapman (Richard) of Chester; two grandchildren, Sheila Walters, Kimberly Pendergrass; four great-grandchildren, Kyle, Andre, Hailey Walters and Jacob Pendergrass. She was preceded in death by her son, Willis B. Worsham, Jr. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11 am at Red Lane Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery.
