Forrest Wayne Moore

Moore, Forrest Wayne (Coonie), 80, of Powhatan, went to be with the lord at his home with his family by his side on Sunday May 7, 2023. Forrest is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Manley and Clara Rawes Moore; and Grandparents Emma and Junious Moore. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Moore; and his sons Forrest Wayne Moore Jr of Powhatan, Jason Adam Moore of Florida, and R. David Marchetti(Buttons) of Jackson MS; stepsons Geoffrey Travis Hamlett (Shawna) of Lynchburg, and Jeremy Bryan(Jaime) of Stem NC; a Brother in Law Bruce Wright(Sandra) of North Carolina and many Grandchildren. Forrest was a farmer in Tobaccoville and raised cattle since 1978. He is a retiree from the US Airforce and the Virginia Air National Guard and also owned a dump truck company.  He loved living the country life with his family and hunting and fishing.  A graveside service will be held at Powhatan Community Cemetery Wednesday, May 10 at 11:00AM
