Franklin Thompson, 68, of Midlothian, VA. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 25th, 2025. He was born in Gassaway, WV. on December 26, 1956. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Hattie Thompson, along with four sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Penny Thompson; son Isaac Thompson, his wife Wendy; three granddaughters, Allison, Sadie and Emily all of Powhatan, VA.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the owner of I & F Construction and a contractor for Lowe’s and The Home Depot companies for over 30 years. He loved life, fishing, the beach and his construction work, but most of all his family. He survived colon/ lung cancer for over 9 years. He was loved and respected by a world of people that he had done work for. Frank was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2:30 to 4:00PM in the Gospel Light Baptist Church, 2109 Anderson Highway, Powhatan, VA. 23139. Where services will be held 4:00 PM. Interment church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asked to send donations to Gospel Light Baptist Church.
