George Bruce Bowles September 4, 1968 - August 5, 2025
The forest lost one of its own, as Jesus welcomed him home.
The Lord carved him from timber, Gave him calloused hands, a steady spine, And eyes that saw both danger and wonder in the treetops.
He was a logger by trade, But that never told the whole story. He understood the trees like old friends- Where they leaned, how they creaked, What secrets they kept in their rings.
Bruce was never meant for four walls. He belonged to rivers catching giant smallies,Ridgelines waiting for that big gobbler to fly off the roost, And to sunrises you had to earn, teaching his grandbabies every step of the way!
He hunted not just for game, but for peace. He fished not only for the catch, but for the quiet. He knew the language of wind in the treesAnd could name birds by their songs.
Bruce, a hardworking logger, devoted hunter, fisherman, and Christian passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 56. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Martin; brother, Matt (Tina); his children, Andrew (Tracy), Anthony (Megan), Victoria (Dylan), and Fletcher (Taylor); his precious grandchildren, Kori, Emma, Everett, Leslie, Alice, Samantha, Jason, Brooke, Pierce, Scarlett, Bennett, Mavis, Zayden, Jayce, and Vanden.
