Helen Wood Thompson

Helen wood Thompson, 90, of Powhatan went to be with her Lord and Savior on 10/1/2020. Helen was preceded in death by her husband; David, sons Mike & Scott, daughter; Sharon and an infant daughter. Helen is survived by her sons Ronnie Roberts (Jane) of Newport News, Donnie Roberts (Kathy) of Powhatan, a sister Gayle Moschler (Dickie) of Chesterfield, 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, several nieces/nephews, and her devoted Yorkie: Bailey. Helen retired as bookkeeper from Metropolitan Hospital and enjoyed bowling, trips to Lake Gaston with her family and visits to Myrtle Beach, and spending time with her church family. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Grace Harvest Baptist Church, 9821 South Redfield Dr. Amelia. Interment will be at 3 p.m. in the Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield.
