James Henry Francis
December 18, 1942 — March 1, 2026
James Henry Francis born December 18, 1942 to the late John W and Doris S Francis in Halifix County, VA. He entered eternal life peacefully after a brief battle with cancer at the guest house Hospice House in Chesterfield County, Virginia on March 1, 2026.
James was educated in Charlotte County Virginia public school system.
James was preceded in death by his beloved twin brother, Jessie and brother Francis. He leaves to cherish his memories brother Louis Francis (Margaret) and sister Molly F. Newton, devoted niece Cheryl F. Bishop, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
James moved to Richmond, Virginia and was employed by Champion International until they closed their doors forever. He moved to Powhatan County Virginia and was employed by Southern States until he retired.
A celebration of life for James will be held 2 PM Friday, March 20, 2026 at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Highway, Powhatan, Virginia.
