James Willie Bowles, Sr.

James Willie Bowles, Sr., 76, of Cumberland passed away on July 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Lou Bowles. He is survived by his children, Brenda Faye Wingo (TL), James Willie Bowles, Jr. and Crystal Presgraves (Skip); sister, Mary Adams (David); 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. He was a logger his whole life and an avid gardener. Logging wasn't just his profession, it was his passion. He was a devout Christ Follower, and shared his love of God with anyone that would listen. A loving father and grandfather who loved his grandchildren dearly. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6th at his home located at 266 Maxeys Mill Road, Cumberland, VA 23040 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A service will be held Thursday in the Fork of Willis Baptist Church at 11:00 am.
