Janie Elizabeth Stewart Sale

Janie Elizabeth Stewart Sale, born November 29th, 1944, went to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She is preceded in death by parents Ila Mae and Esther Stewart, loving sister, Mae Stewart and beloved son, David Sale. In addition to several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, Janie is survived by brother Randy Stewart and wife Charlene, son Doug Sale and wife Elizabeth, daughters Karen Sale and Teresa Sale, grandchildren Regina Conyard, Taylor Sale and Anthony Doersch and one great-grandson, Joshua Conyard. Janie grew up in Blackstone, VA and then moved to Highland Springs where she raised her four children. Janie was employed with Philip Morris for years and ultimately finished her working career with Capital One in customer service. Janie was known for her strong Christian faith, loving personality, patience and kindness, her expert skills as a bookkeeper, seamstress and homemaker. Viewing will be held at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home at 3215 Anderson Highway in Powhatan, VA Friday, April 14 6-8pm. Funeral to be held at the funeral home Saturday, April 15, 10:00am with internment at Little Flock Baptist Church Cemetery.
