Obituary

Jason Tyler Talbott of Powhatan, Va. passed away June 17, 2026 at 26 years young. He is survived by his Mom and Dad, Renee' & Lee Hutson, his sister, Savanna Clark (Anthony), his Bani and Paw Paw, Beverly and Dave Bryan, his Aunt, Vickie Hutson, his brothers, Wayne Roberts (Melanie), Tommy Roberts, Shawn Pierotti, Lee Pierotti and their mother, Kaye Roberts (Joe), and many other family and friends.

Jason was born May 23, 2000. As a young child he was mischievous and adventurous. There wasn't much he was afraid of and not much slowed him down either. He would try just about anything, but would quickly get bored and move onto the next.

As a kid, his favorite place to go was Putt-Putt Mini Golf. Him and his sister would spend all day there playing every arcade game, riding go-carts and of course, playing mini-golf. He hung out with his big sister a lot, and always listened to her more than he would most people.

He also enjoyed making things. Random things. And he would gift them to his family members often. He even helped his Bani make her jewelry, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand at her craft shows. He also enjoyed breaking things. He would break them just to fix them, or change them in some way so they would be uniquely his.

Jason enjoyed talking to people most of all. And he would talk to anyone. It didn't matter how young or old you were, if you were willing to listen, Jason was going to talk.

For many years, he joined his Paw Paw alongside other family and friends each June for the week long James River Batteau Festival. He loved being at the river, or really anywhere outside next to water. Nature has a way of bringing peace and calmness to an otherwise busy world.

Jason didn't get many years here with us as an adult. The ones he had were filled with ups and downs, but no matter what, he kept trudging along. He loved his family and would always make a point to spend the holidays together. Every Thanksgiving. Every Christmas. Always.

Jason was kind and unique. He didn't always make the best decisions, but he always had a good heart. He recently decided to get baptized and had been attending church services here and there. While his time here on earth was cut short, we believe he departed with more happiness and peace than he had felt in quite some time. He will be deeply missed by his family and those that loved him, but may his spirit never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at Bennett and Barden Funeral Home on Friday June 26 at 2:00pm. All who knew and loved Jason are welcome to attend. A private graveside service will follow, for immediate family only.
