Joan Gayle Donovan

Joan Gayle Donovan known by most as Coonie , 83, of Powhatan passed away on June 26, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband Mac of 62 years; son Johnny; granddaughter Angie; brothers Haywood and Tony. She is survived by her children Sandy Donovan, Debbie Blevins (Bill), David Donovan; grandchildren Billy, Melissa; great-grandchildren Amber, Dylan, Kaelyn, Hunner, Emma, Maddox; great-great grandchildren Lloyd, Alistair, Leah, Lydia; sisters Odell Donovan (J.D.), Yvonne Ferguson (Joe), Judy King; brothers Jerry Dunivan (Shirley), Mike Dunivan (Connie) Ricky Dunivan (Monica) and many nieces and nephews. Coonie was loved by all who knew her. She always looked forward to her daily coffee with her sisters and lunch dates with her family. She enjoyed crocheting baby dolls, blankets and doilies

A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11 AM in the Passion Community Church, 4480 Anderson Highway, Powhatan Campus.
