John Perry Maraglio

John Perry Maraglio, age 96, joined his true love, Katharine Therese Maraglio, in heaven on November 26, 2023. He was surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Powhatan, Virgina.
 
Perry was born in Merrick, NY to Perry and Lucille Maraglio, November 18, 1927.
   
Whether a home from the ground up or a DIY project for a family member, building was his passion. The many projects he conquered could be seen in the creases and wrinkles on his hands. Monuments to the hard work he put his heart and soul into knowing it would bring warmth and love to his family.
 
Perry was a man who found joy in the simple things. A plate of spaghetti and meatballs or a good sandwich would bring a smile to his face that would light up a room. His love of food and family was infectious and made him the world's best party guest.
 
His legacy can be seen in the lessons and traditions he passed on to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved him deeply.
 
Three children and their spouses, six grandchildren and their spouses and 11 great grandchildren were a constant source of joy in his life.
 
His family will receive visitors starting at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 30. Both will occur at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2480 Batterson Rd., Powhatan, VA 23139. A private burial will follow.
