John T. Nichols, 65, formally of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away July 27, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Martha Nichols; children, Christina Proctor (Adam), Shannon Redford (Ricky), Traylor Nichols (Gina) and Amanda Willard (Riley); 2 grandchildren, Carter and Colton; siblings, Pat Marcolini (Mike), Ty Nichols (Paula) and Susan Harrier (Doug).

John was a Building Contractor for almost 50 years. He started his own Company in 2000, John T. Nichols, Inc. He was active with The Boy Scouts of America, his Church and loved his family with his whole heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 5:00 PM in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Highway, Powhatan.
