Joseph Lee Morris Jr., 89, of Powhatan, Virginia, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 2, 2026. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Anna Jane Morris; parents, Joseph Sr. and Emma Morris; sisters, Joyce Morrissette and Mary Watson; brothers, Henry Morris and Russell Morris; great-grandson, James Schollaert.Joseph Jr. is survived by his daughter, Patricia Martin (Claude); sons, Jimmy Morris and John Morris (Theresa); sister, Goldie Nixon (Bill); grandchildren, Matthew Davenport (Melissa), Patrick Davenport (Nicole), Emily Camerino (Eugene), Joshua Morris (Kerri), Jessica Schollaert (Jacob), Brittany Ridgway (Drew), Tatyana Martin, Katia Martin; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Macey and Megan Davenport, Joseph, Hadley and Callie Davenport, Madison Martin, Elaina, Elliott and Emerson, Camerino, Jeremiah, Jonathan, Judah and Joshua Schollaert, Milo Morris, Janey Sue Ridgway. He was a hard working , loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed hunting and being outside.The family will receive friends Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home. Where a service will be held friday at 11:00 am. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
