Lawrence Glidewell

Lawrence "Larry" "Pa" 91 years young passed away peacefully early on the morning of December 8th. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Pat and her daughter Jenny (Bryon). He lived life to the fullest and embraced the love of family and friends. He served in the US Army in Germany followed by a 33 year career in the Richmond Fire Department.

Lawrence had many passions in life including golfing with friends, watching baseball , working in his yard, and driving his car. He loved driving so much he bought a new car for his 90th birthday!

He was an accomplished musician, playing the acoustic guitar and upright bass at many live shows and on the radio. He was in several bands and loved to perform for a live audience.

He married his soulmate Pat in 1979 in a snowstorm and their love was evident for all to see. They loved to travel, gardening in their yard, and spending countless hours talking on their porch.

He is survived by his three sons Larry, Marvin (Theresa) and Paul. He is also survived by his stepdaughter Becky (Chip). He is also survived by his sister Joyce (Dennis)

Pa loved all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an amazing Pa and loved to be around kids.

We want to especially thank his granddaughter Tab for all her help this last month, her love for our Dad was so big!

We will all miss him but we know he is reunited with family and friends and we will see him again one day.

Our dad being a nature lover, we suggest planting a tree in his memory.
