Linda B. Hairfield

Linda B. Hairfield, 81, of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025. Linda shared 44 wonderful years of marriage with her true love, Jack Hairfield. Together, they built a life full of laughter, love, and unwavering devotion. Linda was known for her joyful spirit and infectious sense of humor that could light up any room. She was a talented artist with a creative eye. She loved Jesus deeply and lived her life with grace and a heart full of faith. Some of her happiest moments were spent with her family, and cherishing every hug from her beloved great-granddaughter, Calyn - the light of her later years. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Doug) Bennett; her granddaughter, Ashley Bennett; her great-granddaughter, Calyn (who affectionately knew her as Mimi); and her brother, Michael (Shirley) Barnes, along with many family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Alda Ruth Barnes; her brother, Charles Barnes; and her husband, Jack Hairfield, whom she now joins in eternal peace. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Linda will be cremated, and her ashes will be placed alongside Jack's in the columbarium at the Amelia Veterans Cemetery - a final resting place that honors their life and love together. Mimi's legacy of love, laughter, faith, and family will live on in all who had the joy of knowing her.
