Linda Rae Strasburg

Linda D. Strasburg 73 of Cumberland, Va. Passed peacefully in her sleep in Richmond Va. on February 2nd, 2026.

She was born in Richmond, Va. October 31st, 1952. Linda attended various schools growing up and was very proud to get her GED and attend ECPI in 1990, finishing her course in Administration. Linda went on to become a manager at 7-11 where she worked for many years. She also held a management position at the Dollar Tree. Linda really enjoyed boating and the beach, even though she swam like rock. She got to travel to the Bahamas with her best friend, where they were able to swim with dolphins, a highlight that she enjoyed to remember. She always enjoyed seeing her favorite band several times over the years, Lynyrd Skynyrd as well as attending many Nascar races. Linda was able to start enjoying her retirement at age 63 and continued her love for crocheting which she expanded beyond blankets to anything you can imagine. She enjoyed her art and making many different items for others to enjoy. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grand-dogs, Lemmie, Lexi and Sweet Pea.

Linda was a caring Mom and Friend that will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Allen Ray Dale and Step Mother Wanda Dale. As well as her Mother, Loretta Breeden Foote and step father, Melvin (Red) Foote and her Grandparents, U.S. Samford and Vernelle Samford.

She is survived by her Son, Michael Talley and his wife Tianna. Daughter, Michelle King and her husband Rick, Granddaughter, Ti Arra Marrissa Talley and her great Grandchildren, Gunner Lee Richard Hamlin and Skylar Trinity Svea Hamlin, Aunts, Reverend Beverly Samford (which was like her second Mom) and Julianna Duke. Linda was also survived by her very best friend, Nancy Greene who she loved dearly.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date.
