Mary Estelle Nicholls

NICHOLLS, Mary Estelle Maxey, 85, of Powhatan, passed away July l, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena Dora and James Gordan Maxey I and brothers, Vernon, Roland and Garland Maxey. She is survived by her husband, Roy W. Nicholls; daughter, Dena Morgan; granddaughter, Dawn McQueen and husband, Tony; great granddaughter, Kristen Moore; great-great grandson Cameron Metcalf; sister, Evelyn Whitlock; wonderful nephews, neices and a special family friend, Bobby Moore. Mrs. Nicholls took pride in being a homemaker. She taught Sunday School and worked with the women of the Church and the Presbytery. She served on the local school board. A funeral service will be conducted at Providence Presbyterian Church, Thursday at 11 am. A reception will be held at the church following the service.
