Mary Chloe Collier Revels, 73, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving daughter Krista (Marc)
Avinger, parents, Edward and Cleo Collier; brother, Robert "Rock"
Collier; sisters, Barbara Givens, Kay Gonzolez, Linda Skinner, and
Delorus Howard.
Mary is survived by her husband Sam Revels, son David (Kelly) Revels,
daughter Amy (Walt) Ingram; brothers, Rex Collier, Robbie (Kathy)
Collier, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
Mary leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
She was a devoted wife, sister, and friend who found her greatest joy
in being surrounded by those she loved. Mary had a special gift for
making every moment feel worth celebrating. No occasion was too small.
She brought people together with warmth, laughter, and a smile that
could light up any room. Her infectious laugh and caring spirit made
everyone feel welcome, and she truly never met a stranger.
Mary retired from DuPont, where she worked for over 40 years. During
her time there, she formed many lasting friendships, and her coworkers
became like family to her.
She had a deep love for travel and adventure, always eager to explore
new places and create lasting memories with family and friends.
Whether near or far, Mary treasured the experiences she shared with
those closest to her.
Mary and her daughter Krista shared a special bond through their love
of Kenny Chesney. Together, they were proud members of "No Shoes Nation"
and attended many of his concerts, creating joyful memories they
cherished deeply.
Above all, Mary was always there for her family and friends. She was a
constant source of comfort, support, and compassion. She was someone
you could count on in any moment of need. Her caring nature and
generous heart touched countless lives. Mary will be deeply missed and
forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving
her.
Sam would like to extend his appreciation to Amedisys Hospice for the loving and gentle care they gave to Mary and the rest of the family.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to VCU Children's Hospital, 1000 E Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23219 or Amedisys Hospice, 920 S Main Street Suite C&D, Blackstone, VA 23824.
