Matthew Frank Huvar

Matthew Frank Huvar, 65, of Powhatan, Virginia unexpectedly departed the Earthly world to join his Heavenly Father on June 2, 2021. Matt is survived by the love of his life for more than 43 years, Roberta; his older siblings, Donald and Susan; son, Shane; daughter, Lexi, her husband Brian, his 2 most beloved grandsons, Ethan (Big Country) and Jack (Lightning Bolt); and numerous nieces and nephews. Matt loved many things. He loved his family, God, and being a Patriot for his country the most. He loved the mountains, the beach, and every possible adventure in between. He would make the most mundane activities into a grand escapade with his creativity. He loved being PopPop, and sharing his time with his boys; this time was too little, but incredibly precious. Matt did a lot of living in his too short 65 years. He made the most of his time, showing the rest of us how to love and live. May we all spend the rest of our days loving and living with the same free and adventurous and passionate soul like Matt.
